Sam was down last weekend and I now have a backlog of Los Angeles adventure photos… here is the first, from our hike on Friday:
This was part of an officially sanctioned protest against development on the ridge behind the Hollywood sign — turns out this privately held land has been zoned for residential construction. People are pissed! Especially because the city can’t afford to buy it back… (By now, I hope the protesters have managed to get the “E” “A” “K” up.)
It was hazy, but you could still make out Century City office buildings to the west.
And below, park stables; we crossed paths with a line riders on the way back. (Look closely and you can make out the horses in the center!)
