I’m honored to be receiving the George C. Lin Emerging Filmmaker Award at this year’s San Diego Asian Film Festival.

Each year since his passing, Pacific Arts Movement has proudly presented an Emerging Filmmaker Award in honor of the Festival’s late Program Director George Lin. A scientist by trade, George co-founded the DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival in 2000, then joined the San Diego Asian Film Festival in 2003. Quirky, loving, and passionate, he championed all things independent – film, music, art. George passed away in San Diego on October 14, 2008, after a long battle with cancer.
